While it was intended to be a one day project, I was still sick, so I kept making the game. The version on the first day felt fine, but there was no sense of urgency, so a combo meter was added to countdown from two seconds to encourage the player to keep the combo going and make it a rush to play.
To give the game some diversity, different color schemes were added every 50 depths. An old, classic puzzle game turned into a big inspiration.
Double burgers were added as a way to reward the player with health every X number of depths. At first the collectable gave full energy and that made the game far too easy, so it was turned into 20% energy while the single burgers are worth 10%.
Other than that, I spent a lot of time working on an Android version as the consensus was that this will be a good game to play on the go while waiting for something.
